“Fame” brings a definition of success

“There are some things success is not.

It’s not fame, it’s not money or power.

Success is….

Waking up in the morning, so excited about what you have to do that you literally fly out of the door.
It’s getting to work with people you love.
Success is connecting with the world and making people feel.
It’s finding a way to bind together people who have nothing in common but a dream.
It’s falling asleep at night knowing you did the best job you could.

Success is…
and friendship…
and success is LOVE.”

OK I didn’t write any of that. It’s a speech from the movie “Fame” and I love it. I have to go work on my own definition of success now and I suggest you do the same.

What’s your definition?

  1. Ok, so I was really hoping to see a video of you and Scottie dancing around to this song…cmon guys, I know you have it in you:).

I love this question: I guess fame for some would mean people recognize you. Like oh there is Madonna in the grocery store…and they get all excited!:)

For me, I know what I want to “be known” for or recognized for. It has everything to do with my character and purpose. I hope that one day people will recognize me for these things, and not for what award I won, or team I played on etc. So I think fame has something to do with what people recognize you for or how you are remembered? Can’t wait to read your definition! 🙂

    1. Love it Tracy! So glad you’re thinking it through and putting it out there to help the rest of us as we think it through! 🙂
